As I return to Senegal this week, I'll begin a walk down memory lane. My first visit to that country was in 2014 while I was still pastoring Central Bible Church in Portland, Oregon. On that occasion I translated part of the Thompson Bible seminar as the Director of African Pastoral Training, Chuck Ballard, taught several hundred pastors. As I translated my eyes were opened to the urgent need and great potential of this training in Africa.
Since that time I've had the privilege of training a small team of national teachers who are now yearly investing in the lives of hundreds of church leaders across the nation. One of these, Pastor Moïse, is pictured above.
The purpose of this month's visit is to take three of our certified trainers through a refresher course, helping them better equip other pastors to communicate God's Word.
Would you pray for each phase of this training over the next couple of weeks?

September 16-18 Coaching our trainers as they teach the seminar in Mbour, Senegal
While I'm in Senegal, Mary Alice will be visiting with several friends and colleagues in southern France near our former residence. Some are facing health challenges. Others are grieving the loss of loved ones. Please pray with us for listening ears and sensitive hearts.
PS Below is a short 3-minute video that will help you pray for the impact of the gospel in Senegal.
